Code Nation was thrilled to be a beneficiary of the 2022 T4Youth ping pong tournament on Tuesday, November 1 at SPIN Chicago! Over the course of its eight-year history, T4Youth—a Chicago-founded philanthropic organization that raises money and garners support for future generations of young technologists—has donated over $600K directly to 501(c)(3) STEAM-focused organizations.

After a two-year hiatus, 56 companies showed up for a friendly competition for a good cause. This year was Code Nation’s first time being part of the in-person event, and it was inspiring to see what’s possible when Chicago’s tech community comes together for a night of camaraderie, competition, and social impact!

This year, the tournament raised $100,000 which was donated directly to Code Nation to support its programs in Chicago and Chicago Tech Academy, one of our first high school partners in the region.

We’d like to extend our thanks to SPIN Chicago for generously donating its space, employees, and resources for the fourth year! Code Nation is also immensely grateful to the tournament sponsors—ABN AMRO, Belvedere Trading, Cameo, CBRE, Cooley, Deloitte, DRW Trading, Fintech Digital, Hudson River Trading (HRT), Mesirow, Objective Paradigm, The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC), Rush Street Interactive, SPR, and Topbloc—for their financial support to ensure a successful tournament. Finally, a huge thank you also to the T4Youth board for putting together such a fun and impactful event!

With this year’s support from T4Youth, Code Nation is able to expand its Chicago programs to reach more schools and students, creating pathways into high-wage tech careers.
